Dog fouling in the village

The Community Council has had complaints about dog fouling. It is an offence carrying an £80 fine, and a cause of toxocariasis in children. Report it to the Community Safety Team on 03033 333000. Free bags are available at Castle Douglas and Kirkcudbright libraries.

Submit an event

Community groups and residents can put an event on the village calendar. You do not need an account. A councillor checks every submission before it appears, so please allow a few days.

The event

One day at a time. If it happens every month, say so below and we will set that up.

Leave blank if you are not sure.

For example: free, or £3 on the door.

A couple of lines is plenty.

A picture makes a great deal of difference to whether people notice it. Straight off a phone is fine — JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 4 MB.

One line, for somebody who cannot see it. “Two people serving soup in the hall” rather than “Soup and Sweet”.

About you

A person or a group. This is shown on the event page.

So we can check the details with you. It is shown on the event page — tell us if you would rather it was not.

Optional.

A councillor checks every submission before it appears on the calendar.
